Clarence W. Trowbridge

Clarence Wayne Trowbridge, 82, El Dorado Springs, passed away on Saturday afternoon, June 27, 2015. Clarence was born on April 11, 1933, in Hutton Valley to Floyd and Ovilla (Smith) Trowbridge. He attended a rural school and then high school in Summersville.

On Nov. 25, 1955, Clarence married Elderd Wheeler in Mountain Grove where they embarked on a 61 – year journey together. To this union two sons were born.

After serving in the United States Marine Corps, Clarence went on to be a truck driver. He drove for 13 years for Burlington Truck Line in Kansas City before entering semi-retirement.

    Barbara A. Anderson, age 72, El Dorado Springs, passed away June 22, 2015. She was born April 30, 1943, to Lawerance and Bernice (Noff) Solinger in Youngstown, OH.

    Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband, Andy Anderson.

    Survivors include: Two brothers, Ron Solinger and Charles Solinger of Ohio; and two step-sons, John Anderson and Rob Anderson.

    June A. Mallinson

    June A. Mallinson, 92, El Dorado Springs, passed away June 23, 2015. She was born June 26, 1922, the daughter of Conrad and Anita (Goeke) Hackenson.

    She is survived by her husband, Richard Mallinson, of the home; two sons, Marc Melloch and Dean Melloch; and one sister, Dorothy Fawcett.

    No services are scheduled at this time. Final disposition was cremation under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.

    Scott L. Fletcher, 60, El Dorado Springs, passed away June 29, 2015, in Mercy Hospital, Springfield.

    Survivors include one brother, Donny Fletcher, and wife, Georgia – El Dorado Springs; one sister, Janice Howerton, and husband, Richard – Bolivar; and many other relatives and friends.

    Services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, July 3, in Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

    Mrs. Betty Jane Elizabeth Spiva, 85, Joplin, departed this life on Sunday, May 31, 2015, at her residence, after a brief battle with cancer.

    Betty entered this life on Dec. 9, 1929, in Jane, one of six children born to the late Irvie “Shorty” and Clarissa Ethel (Russell) Holland. She graduated from White Rock in 1945 and later in 1948 she was united in marriage to Max Spiva. To this union five children were born.

    William Roma McFarland, 54, El Dorado Springs, passed away in Mercy Hospital, Springfield, early Saturday morning, June 13, 2015, surrounded by his family. Mac was born June 24, 1960, in San Diego, CA, to Victor Walter and Lou Ann (Hartline) McFarland.

    Mac tragically lost his father at a very young age. In 1969, he and his mother and sister moved back home to El Dorado Springs, where his mother met and married Glenn Hoffman.
