Mary Blanche (Gay) Walker, 80, rural El Dorado Springs, passed away in Community Springs Healthcare Facility on Thursday morning, Apr. 16, 2015. She was born in Canton, KS, on March 28, 1935, to Arthur Spencer Gay Sr. and Hazel Ruth Pettijohn Gay. She attended some school in El Dorado Springs, but due to having rheumatic fever as a child, was also homeschooled.

She married Mancel Eugene Walker on Oct. 27, 1957. To their union, two children were born.

She was a dedicated wife and mother who worked hard to care for her family. Many times she not only maintained the household but also worked at Eugene’s side on the farm.
