Donald (Don) F. Martin Sr., 73, El Dorado Springs, passed away at his home on Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2015. Don was born June 22, 1942, at Deepwater the son of Cleo and Mary Louise (Sizemore) Martin. Don attended El Dorado Springs schools until 1958 when he left school to go to work to help provide for his family.

After leaving school, Don went to work roofing with Clarence Taylor until he enlisted in the Marines on November 18, 1959, where he served two years. After leaving the Marines, due to a medical discharge, Don went to work as a police officer for the El Dorado Springs Police Department. He left the police department in 1965 and went to work for First Finance in Nevada. In

    Debbie Rene Moore, 64, El Dorado Springs, passed away on Nov. 12, 2015, after an extended battle with cancer. She leaves behind her husband, Harold Moore; her son, Jabe Moore; and her daughter, Nicole Addison.

    Debbie was born on May 27, 1951, in Springfield to father, Russel Macom, and mother, Louise Macom. She grew up in a small loving home with one sister. Debbie studied music in college at MSU.

    Kenton Wayne Wood

    Kenton Wayne Wood, 89, born June 30, 1926, in Cedar County to Richard E. and Veda Chambers Wood, died peacefully Nov. 12, 2015 in Stockton at the age of 89 years.

    Kenton married Doris Crane Dec. 19, 1942, in Stockton. This year would have marked 73 years of marriage.

    He attended local schools.

    To this union one son, Jerry Wayne, was born.

    Beulah Maxine (Vickers) Pennock, 94, of El Dorado Springs, the daughter of Charles and Iva Vickers, passed away Thursday evening, Nov. 5, 2015. She was born on Oct. 28, 1921.

    Over her working career, she simultaneously owned/operated five nursing homes and became known for being the largest individually owned nursing home business in the state of Kansas. She married Robert W. (Bob) Pennock on March 14, 1956 and they spent almost 50 years together.

    Wilma Jean (Jeter) Coale, 78, rural El Dorado Springs, passed from this life in the Stockton Nursing Home on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2015, in the presence of her husband and children. She suffered through a long battle with the dreaded Alzheimer’s disease, fighting to stay with her family until the end.     Larry Wayne Pettibon, 70, Bronaugh, formerly of El Dorado Springs and Nevada, passed away Nov. 5, 2015, in Mercy Hospital, Joplin. He was born April 26, 1945, in Fort Scott, KS, the son of Wendel Durwood and Ethel Mae (Wolfe) Pettibon.

    On Oct. 4, 1968, he was united in marriage to Betty L. Burdick in the Pine Street Baptist Church. She preceded him in death on Nov. 7, 2014.

    Johnny Clayton Esry, 77, Collins, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2015, in Citizens Memorial Hospital, Bolivar. Johnny was born on Aug. 4, 1938, to Harry and Leona Esry, in El Dorado Springs, one of seven children, the only son.

    Johnny attended El Dorado Springs High School and played on the basketball team. In 1957, he was married to Juanita Pettijohn. Three children were born to that union – Rick, Randy and Lisa.

    Clara Fay (Hillsman) Bradley, 86, rural El Dorado Springs, passed away Wednesday evening, Oct. 28, 2015. Clara was born Oct. 8, 1929, in the southeast Schell City area to Clarence and Clara (Chandler) Hillsman.

    Clara attended El Dorado Springs High School, graduated at age 16 and continued her education at Southwest Baptist University. She went on to teach at Roberts School for a few years.

    Robert Charles McMillian, 69, Miami, OK, passed away peacefully Oct. 21, 2015 at MedicalLodges, Nevada. His sister, Heartland Hospice staff and nurses from MedicalLodges were by his side. Charles fought a long and courageous battle with cancer. Charles was born on Sept. 20, 1946, in Miami, OK, to Robert (Bob) and Dorothy (Darter) McMillian.

    Charles was a member of First Baptist Church, Miami.
