Morning message at the Rockville United Methodist Church by Pastor David Souza was entitled “Heart Trouble.” Mark 7:1-23.

Mt. Zion Home Bible Study held in the Tom and Beverly Pelkey home had nine in attendance. The lesson was taken from Matthew 5:1-12. The song study was a Mighty Fortress in our God. We invite you to join us Tuesday’s at 7 p.m. Call Tom at 660-598-0477.

June Marshall is feeling fine. She had been working in the yard and flowerbeds. Took time to attend Fun Night in Wheatland with Peggy Baldwin. The ladies attended a funeral of a friend earlier. Saturday Peggy and June visited with Doris in Nevada. They spent the night and got home Sunday morning in time to attend church. Ruth Allison was a Sunday afternoon visitor.

Dixie Peterson visited Wednesday in the Stanley and Marge Zink home. Other visitors in the Zink home have been Pam Schesener from Amarillo, TX, and Jason Schesener from Minneapolis, MN. Charles Wilson, Sheri Suster and Tom Pelkey were visitors. Visitors in the Pelkey home have been Gregg and Jack Pelkey and Jack’s friend, Gordon.

Rockville United Methodist Church Quilters were happy to have visitors again this week. Louise Gregg’s son, Ron, drove a Harley motorcycle down from the city to visit his mother at quilting. Seems our kids know where we go on Thursdays. Then our friend, Lil Bailey, a 1915 model paid her annual visit. Lil is still a joy to visit with. Armelda McEwan brought Lil out.

The weather has been beautiful for harvesting pecans and soybeans.

Hope to see you at the Turkey Dinner Saturday Nov 10, 4 to 7 p.m. There will be good home cooking at the Park Building in Appleton City.

Glad Tommie Gragg is home from Arizona after a brief delay.

Howard and Dixie Peterson visited Sunday in the Brenda Peterson home. Clyde and Josephine Peterson joined them for lunch. Clyde Keith and Dixie Peterson went turnip and radish hunting. They were successful, I think. Dixie and Clyde just like to go running around.
