Get in the spirit of Christmas at one or more of these holiday events in El Dorado Springs:
Christmas Parade of Homes
In a revival of an old El Dorado Springs tradition, six beautifully decorated homes will be on display from 3 – 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1. Tickets may be purchased for $10 at Shannon & Associates, Brower Realty, and The El Dorado Springs Chamber of Commerce.
Holiday House Decoration Contest
It pays to let your Christmas spirit shine this season. The El Dorado Springs Chamber of Commerce and the City of El Dorado Springs are once again sponsoring the Holiday House Decoration Contest.
El Dorado Springs will be sectioned into four quadrants using Hwy. 54 and Main Street as boundaries. One winner will be selected from each quadrant and a Grand Prize Winner selected from those four qualifying homes. Prizes include $25 off utilities for the three quadrant winners and $50 in utilities for the Grand Prize Winner from the City of El Dorado Springs. All four winners will also receive other prizes including certificates from the Rusty Jug so they can go out for dinner after doing so much decorating.
All decorations must be in place and ready to be viewed from the street by judges from 6-9 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 15. Contestants must leave decorations/lights up through Christmas Day. For more information or to enter your home in the Holiday House Decoration Contest, please call the El Dorado Springs Area Chamber of Commerce office at 417-876-4154 or email the Chamber at email@example.com.
