On Saturday Dec. 1, 2012, about 3:40 p.m., the Cedar County Sheriff’s office received a report of a robbery from Allison’s Gas Station. Deputies responded and with the good information given by Deputy Josh King and assistance of the El Dorado Springs Police. Deputy Clay Jeffries noticed a possible suspect at a residence off 97 Hwy. Deputy Jeffries was able to determine that he had the right suspect and detained him until Deputy King arrived and was able to follow up on the investigation. It was found that the suspect had grabbed the money from the register at Allison’s Station and later found the he had also committed a burglary at Allison’s tire shop. It is believed that all the money has been recovered at this time.
Ryan L Cassidy, 23, El Dorado Springs, has been charged with Count 1 burglary 2nd degree Class C felony, Count 2 stealing 3rd degree Class D felony, Count 3 stealing Class D felony. Cassidy is currently being held in the Cedar County jail on $25,000 bond.
Tina Applebee, El Dorado Springs, was also charged with misdemeanor stealing and posted a $500 bond pending court appearances.
