On Saturday, Dec. 1, about 3:40 p.m. the Cedar County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a robbery from Allison’s Gas Station.
Deputies responded and with the good information given by Deputy Josh King and assistance of the El Dorado Springs Police, Deputy Clay Jeffries noticed a possible suspect at a residence off Hwy. 97. Deputy Jeffries was able to determine that he had the right suspect and detained him until Deputy King arrived and was able to follow up on the investigation.
It was found that the suspect had grabbed the money from the register at Allison’s Station and later found the he had also committed a burglary at Allison’s Tire shop Friday night, Nov. 30.
It is believed that all the money has been recovered at this time.
Ryan L. Cassidy, 23, El Dorado Springs, has been charged with: Count 1 – Burglary 2nd degree, Class C Felony; Count 2 – Stealing 3rd degree, Class D Felony and Count 3 – Stealing, Class D Felony.
Cassidy is currently being held in the Cedar County jail in lieu of $25,000 bond.
