Mt. Zion Home Bible Study was held in the Tom and Beverly Pelkey home with nine present at 7 p.m. Tuesday evening. The class presented Tom with a money twig in appreciation for his leadership in studying the Bible. Bible study will not be until Jan. 8 in the home of Joela Dains. Start your New Year with Mt. Zion Bible study.

Mt. Zion Club met in Appleton City at the Christian Church with 13 members present, Roll call was a Christmas memory and 18 lap robes were finished. Our soup, sandwich and desert lunch was extra delicious and plentiful. Pastor Tony Reynolds joined us for lunch. He sang for us and gifts were exchanged It was a very enjoyable day. January meeting will be in the Marge Zink home.

I’m ready for spring finally got all the spring bulbs planted. I’m sure there will be some winter before they bloom.

Was out traveling again and saw some beautiful lights in the Taberville area.

Thursday morning winter arrived with a vengeance in the Mt. Zion area causing the Rockville United Methodist Church quilters to cancel their planned dinner and quilting. The OATS meeting was canceled.
