Man dies in crash

George D. Heisten, 76, El Dorado Springs, was pronounced dead after a 5:53 a.m. crash on Hwy. 54 three miles west of Collins on Wednesday, Aug. 1.

According to the report by Trooper M. D. Obert, the 2006 Ford F250 Mr. Heisten was driving eastbound traveled off the left side of the roadway and down and embankment, struck a tee overturned and struck another tree. The report said he was not wearing a seatbelt.
