EL DORADO SPRINGS POLICE REPORT

In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Dec 31 – Officer responded to a reported larceny at 921 South Park. Investigation revealed the theft of six, 50’, blue, heavy duty, extension cords, with “Durham School Services” written on them. Investigation continuing. Anyone with information concerning this incident is encouraged to call the El Dorado Springs Police Department at 417-876-TIPS.

Arrests: Danielle R. Bemis, 32, El Dorado Springs, charging her with driving while revoked with a cash or surety bond of $500, failure to provide proof of insurance and failure to register a motor vehicle. She was released on bond pending court appearance.

Daniel K. Ridley, 49, El Dorado Springs, on an active Vernon County warrant charging him with passing bad checks with a cash only bond of $400 and an active Nevada Police Department warrant charging him with failure to appear on the original charge of driving under the influence with a cash only bond of $978.20. He was extradited to the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office pending bond and court appearance.

Mark R. Garten, 45, Clinton, on an active Henry County warrant charging him with passing bad checks with a cash or surety bond of $1,500 and an active Lamar Police Department warrant charging him with failure to appear, on the original charge of driving while Intoxicated and stealing with a cash only bond of $463.29. He was extradited to the Henry County Sheriff’s office pending bond and court appearance.

Officer responded to a request to speak to an officer at 500 East Fields, Lot 32. Investigation resulted in the arrest of Alvin W. Dunn, 41, El Dorado Springs, on the probable cause of domestic assault. Dunn was later served a Cedar County warrant for second degree domestic assault and damage to jail/jail property with a cash or surety bond of $5,000. He was extradited to the Cedar County Sheriff’s office pending bond and court appearance. Officers also arrested Bobby J. Huber, 18, El Dorado Springs, charging him with minor in possession (liquor), with a cash or surety bond of $150. He was released on bond pending court appearance.

Jan 1 – Arrest: Jerome F. Hetherington, 26, El Dorado Springs, charging him with driving while intoxicated with a cash or surety bond of $500. Officers also issued him a summons for failure to affix license plates. He was released on bond pending pcourt appearance.

Officer responded to a reported larceny and property damage at 309 East Martin. Investigation revealed the theft of two, 2’ pieces of copper pipe from the air conditioner and an outside light cover. Officers noted damage to the air conditioner and white, door frame. Investigation continuing.

Jan 2 – Officer responded to a reported larceny at 1410 South Summer. Investigation revealed someone had stolen a garage door opener from the resident’s mail box. Investigation continuing.

Jan 3 Officers responded to a motor vehicle theft at 227 West Gay. Investigation revealed the theft of a maroon, 2002, Chevy Silverado, Extended Cab pick up truck with Texas license plates. Vehicle was later recovered in St. Clair County. The vehicle had been burned. Investigation continuing.

Arrests: Jason L. Nichols, 43, Stockton, on an active Cedar County felony warrant charging him with probation violation on the charge of theft/stealing with no bond and release after two days without a court date. He was extradited to the Cedar County Sheriff’s office.

Aaron P. Zimmer, 34, El Dorado Springs, on an active Jasper County felony warrant charging him with probation violation on the charge of possession of a controlled substance with a cash or surety bond of $25,000. He was released on bond pending court appearance.

Caleb L. Ennis, 20, El Dorado Springs, on an active Cedar County felony warrant charging him with probation violation on the original charges of knowingly burning or Exploding and Assault, with no bond, and release after four days with no court date. He was extradited to the Cedar County Sheriff’s Office.

Jan 4 – Officers responded to a motor vehicle theft at 114 West Joe Davis. Investigation revealed the theft of a white, 2002, Ford, Econoline E350 Van reportedly stolen on Jan 3 after 10 p.m. Vehicle was later recovered in Cedar County. The vehicle had been burned. Jan 4 – Officer responded to a reported larceny (leave without paying for gas) at 102 East US 54 Hwy. Investigation revealed the theft of 7.524 gallons of gasoline reportedly stolen by a Latino maledriving a small, black, two door, passenger car with the possible KS license plates of WRD318. Investigation continuing.

Arrest: Aaron K. Pilcher, 30, El Dorado Springs, on an active Vernon County misdemeanor warrant charging him with failure to appear on the original charge of non-support with a cash only bond of $1,000. He was transported to the Cedar County Sheriff’s offence pending bond and/or extradition to the Vernon County Sheriff’s office.
