Several visited Frances Lewis this past week. Gary Joe Dunn and friend, Galye Grinder, of Deerfield, took her out for dinner at the Mexican restaurant at Nevada Friday evening, Feb. 1.
Those having dinner at Madalyn’s Kitchen after church Sunday, Feb. 3 were Pastor Connie Locke, Jewell and Helen Ellerman, Jeanie O’Brien Frances Lewis, Gary Joe Dunn and Galye Grinder.
Connie Locke visited her parents, Ben and Gloria Locke, at Nevada Monday, Jan. 28.
Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, Feb. 3. Curtis Townley, who is director of mission for the Osage Baptist Bible Association, was the guest speaker. His sermon was taken from Luke 29:28-40. They had their first Sunday dinner after church. Their pastor, Cliff Bennett, and wife went to Hawaii for two weeks.
Church service was held at the Schell City United Methodist Church Sunday, Feb. 3. Pastor Connie Locke’s sermon “The Best Gift Ever” was taken from Luke 4:21-30 and I Corinthians 13:1-13 It was the fourth Sunday after the Epiphany. It was communion Sunday. Items were brought for Community Outreach. Sunday School was held before church. Jeanie O’Brien led the lesson “The Supremacy of Jesus Christ” taken from Colossians 1:15-20. Ash Wednesday service will be held Feb. 13 at the church.
