Mt. Zion Bible study met in the home of Tom and Beverly Pelkey Tuesday at 7 p.m. with 11 present to study the Bible. We invite you to join us.
Several from the area attended the VFW Post 11242 and Ladies Auxiliary meeting Thursday evening in Appleton City.
The Mt. Zion area is thankful for the rain Saturday afternoon through Sunday morning, nice to see some water in the ponds and creeks; could use a lot more.
I plan to plant lettuce seed on Valentine Day, these nice days one wants to plant flowers.
June Marshall visited Ralph and Alice Larsen. Peggy Baldwin spent the weekend; Peggy and June watched movies Saturday, Peggy returned home after church Sunday. Patricia Stark enjoyed lunch with June.
Tom and Beverly Pelkey made a supply run to Clinton Wal-Mart recently.
Dixie Peterson got new glasses and the world looks a lot brighter, especially after having a reaction to some medicine and broke out in bumps from head to toe; but she is ok now.
Mt. Zion area congratulates Mr. and Mrs. Ethan Siegismund on their recent marriage. I heard furniture has a way of moving around when you are away. For supper they are having guess what. For a while since the labels from the can goods disappeared and movies changed jackets.
John and Julia Snethen haven’t been doing much. Cheryl Farrell and Ellen Shouse stopped by the other night for a visit. Julia and Beverly Pelkey started taxes on Thursday.
