Cedar County Sheriff’s office makes arrests

The Cedar County Sheriff’s office served two separate search warrants on Friday, March 8, at residence’s within Cedar County, according to a press release by Cedar County Sheriff Dean “Leon” Dwerlkotte.

At a residence located east of Stockton, Investigator Kevin Lowe received information from Conservation Agent Michael Terhune that several items of stolen wildlife furs at a residence belonging to Kirby Doeden located on East 1474. Doeden’s residence was searched and several wildlife furs were located. Kirby Doeden was arrested and transported to the Cedar County Sheriff Office. Doeden later bonded.

On the second search warrant, Chief Deputy Jason Johnson received information from the Lockwood Police Department of drug activity at a residence located at 375 East Hwy. B, Jerico Springs. The search turned up a .22 calaiber pistol, 3/4 pounds of marijuana and a large amount of cash in the residence. Chief Deputy Johnson requested warrants for Kenneth B. Lake and for Elizabeth A. Besendorfer, both of Jerico Springs.

Kenneth Lake is in the Dade County Jail also on other drug charges.
