Mike Burton returned to his home at Higginsville Friday, April 26, after visiting his grandmother, Frances Lewis, and other relatives in the area for a few days.
Connie Locke was a dinner guest in the home of her parents, Ben and Gloria Locke, at Nevada Monday, April 22. She and her mother went to Ft. Scott, KS. She visited them again on Thursday, April 25.
Those having dinner at Madalyn’s Kitchen after church Sunday, April 28, were Pastor Connie Locke, Jewell and Helen Ellerman, Jeanie O’Brien, Ruth Ijams, Frances Lewis, Gary Joe Dunn and Gayle Grinder.
Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, April 28, Brother Cliff Bennett’s sermon was taken from Matthew 8.
Church service was held at the Schell City United Methodist Church Sunday, April 28. Pastor Connie Locke’s sermon “Free Water” was taken from Revelation 21:1-6 and John 13:31-35. Sunday School was held before church. Jeanie O’Brien led the lesson “Hope Comes From God’s Grace” taken from II Thessalonians 2:1-3, 9-17.
The Schell City/Harwood United Methodist Women will be working in the church basement each Tuesday morning from 9-11 a.m. until their sale. Donations can be brought at this time and volunteers are welcome. Their sale will be May 17-18.
