Randy Lusk dies after cycle crash

Randy Lusk, 61, founder and long time owner/ operator of El Dorado Cycle in El Dorado Springs, succumbed to injuries he suffered in a motor cycle crash Monday night in Lawrence, KS, and was pronounced dead Tuesday morning in Overland Park Regional Hospital.

The report Tuesday, Aug. 27, from Lt. Steve Lewis, Public Information Officer, Douglas County (KS) Sheriff’s Office, said, “At 10 p.m. last night, Aug. 26, deputies responded to reports of a motorcycle in the median of the 200 block of US 59 Highway. Deputies searched the area and found the seriously injured driver, 61-year-old Randall Lusk of El Dorado Springs, Missouri. Having life threatening injuries, he was taken by helicopter to Overland Park Regional Hospital. The Kansas Highway Patrol and Douglas County Sheriff’s Office continued to work the accident scene overnight. Mr. Lusk succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead this morning.”

“The Sheriff’s Office asks anyone who may have been in the area of 59 Highway just south of Baldwin Junction last night around 10 p.m. and may have seen anything relating to the accident, to call Detective Scott Bonham at 785/832-5201.”
