In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Law enforcement activities

The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 106 requests for assistance this past week, April 5-11. The requests were as follows:

Ambulance Assists 13, Animal Control 16, Assist Other Agencies 11, All Escorts 1, Nuisance 4, All Other Requests for Assistance 61, Summons 9.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report

On April 5, 2021, officer responded to 204 North Main Street, Higgins Propane, concerning a larceny from a motor vehicle.  The investigation revealed the theft of a Catalytic Converter from a 2017 Ford F650 fuel truck. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On April 5, 2021, officer responded to 500 South Main Street, First Baptist Church, concerning a larceny.  The investigation revealed the attempted theft of a Catalytic Converter from a 2013 Ford F350 Van. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On April 6, 2021 officers responded to the intersection of South High and West Joe Davis Street concerning report of a person shooting at a vehicle. The investigation resulted in the arrest James R Willmore, 41, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Certain Person Prohibited to Possess Firearms, and Possession of a Controlled Substance.  Officers completed a Probable Cause statement concerning these charges. Officers received a Cedar County Warrant, charging Willmore with Class D Felony Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Class B Felony Discharging/Shoot Firearm at or from a motor vehicle, with a $250,000.00 cash bond.  James Willmore was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and a court appearance.

On April 7, 2021 officers arrested Gage T Howard, 20, of Blue Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear on the charge of Possession of Paraphernalia and Possession of Marijuana, with a $426.50 bond. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On April 7, 2021, officers arrested Phillip R. Robison for a Federal Warrant charging him with Probation Violation on the original charge of Threat to Bomb.  Robison was transferred to the St. Clair County Jail pending a court appearance. 

On April 9, 2021, officers responded to 405 South Grand concerning a peace disturbance. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Paige N. Walker, 18, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of resisting arrest and a Cedar County Warrant, charging her with Resisting /Interfering with arrest and Driving While Intoxicated with a $5000.00 bond. She was transported to Cedar County Jail pending a court appearance.

On April 9, 2021, officers responded to 502 South Forrest concerning tampering with utilities and stealing. A suspect was identified, a report taken and the investigation was cleared by summons.

On April 10, 2021, officers responded 312 West US 54 Highway, Woods Supermarket, concerning a reported shoplifting. A suspect was identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.
