EL DORADO SPRINGS POLICE REPORT

In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Jan 14 – Arrests: David R. Chism, 58, El Dorado Springs, on an active Vernon County probation and parole violation warrant,on the original charge of driving while intoxicated with no bond. He was extradited to Vernon County Sheriff’s office pending court appearance.

Jaymi R Self, 25, El Dorado Springs, on an active Cedar County warrant charging her with failure to appear, original charge of domestic assault in the 3rd degree with a cash only bond of $250. She was extradited to Cedar County Sheriff’s office pending bond and o court appearance.

Officers responded to 312 West 54 Hwy concerning a reported larceny. Suspect has been identified, report taken and investigation continuing.

Responded to 607 South Jackson concerning a reported larceny of a bicycle. Investigation resulted in the arrest of Aaron J. Laur, 27, El Dorado Springs, charging him with Larceny – Under $500.00. He was released on summons pending court appearance.

Jan 16 – officers responded to 107 West 54 Hwy concerning a reported larceny. Investigation resulted in the arrest of Aaron J Laur, 27, El Dorado Springs. Officers applied for and received a Cedar County warrant charging Laur with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, theft and attempted theft with a cash or surety bond of $10,000. He was extradited to the Cedar County Sheriff’s office pending bond and court appearance.

Jan 18 – Officers responded to 208 South Park to assist the Cedar County Sheriff’s office concerning intoxicated minors. Investigation resulted in the arrest of Breanna N Gehlert, 17, El Dorado Springs, charging her with minor in possession, Caleb J. Oldenburg, 20, El Dorado Springs, charging him with minor in possession, Robert J Halcon, 18, El Dorado Springs, charging him with minor in possession, Isaiah D Ohman, 17, El Dorado Springs, charging him with minor in possession and Reyne D Bachtel, 33, El Dorado Springs, charging her with driving while revoked. All were released on summonses pending court appearance.

Jan 18 – Officers responded to 317 South Park concerning a reported larceny. Investigation revealed the theft of a 32 inch flat screen television. Investigation continuing.

Jan 21 – Arrest: William . Houts, 26, El Dorado Springs, on an active Cedar County warrant charging him with probation violation on the original charge of stolen property with a cash only bond of $10,000. He was extradited to the Cedar County Sheriff’s office pending bond and court appearance.

Jan 22 Officers responded to the 1600 Block of South Ely Drive concerning a peddler without a permit. Investigation resulted in the arrest of Lydia E Thornton, 46, Springfield, charging her with peddler’s permit required with a cash or surety bond of $125.50 and merchant’s license required with a cash or surety bond of $125.50. She was released on bond pending court appearance.

Jan 25 – Officers responded to 117 West Spring (Wayside Inn Museum) concerning a reported attempted arson. Investigation continuing. Anyone with information concerning this incident is encouraged to call the El Dorado Springs Police Department at 417-876-TIPS.

Officers responded to 608 North Jackson concerning a reported burglary. Investigation revealed the theft of a small brown clock. Investigation continuing.

Officers responded to 910 South Allison Rd concerning a reported burglary. Investigation revealed the theft of five knives and an older black metal safe. Investigation continuing. Jan 25- Arrest: Jeffery D Robison Jr, 20, El Dorado Springs, charging him with driving while revoked and failure to stop for a posted stop sign. He was released on summonses pending court appearance.
