Mother Nature says 'Winter still around'

Rockville United Methodist Church was canceled due to weather.

Mt. Zion Home Bible Study was held in the home of Tom and Beverly Pelkey each Tuesday at 7 p.m. had 12 present to study the Bible, we invite you to join us. We all enjoyed root beer floats.

Mt. Zion Club will meet Feb. 19 at 11 a.m. at the Rockville United Methodist Church Fellowship hall; Jell-o Bingo, dinner and tacking quilts are planned.

February all ready. This year is going fast again. Mother Nature is still letting us know it is winter.

June Marshall is still on the mend doing her therapy.

Dixie Peterson did make it to Appleton City Friday to the Appleton City Manor for more therapy.

Bob and Sheri Suster, Forest and Catherine Albin from Appleton City VFW Post 11242 attended the awards dinner in Jefferson City for the Patriotic Pen. Grace Mott was winner from Post11242.

Tom and Beverly Pelkey kept doctor appointment in Clinton on Wednesday, then out to eat and shopping. We do keep pantries stocked. For the Pelkeys are housebound because of icy roads.

Marge Zink kept her doctor appointment Friday in Overland Park, KS. She didn’t get home until Sunday afternoon. Marge got iced in at Stacys. Still ice on Henry County N Hwy. Our St. Clair County roads A, B and E were clear.

John and Julia Snethen did get out this week. They borrowed son, Ron's, truck and made it to Clinton on Thursday and into Appleton City for groceries on Saturday but should of stayed home, roads were very bad.

Ariel Williams and baby George spent the night with Carrie Brooks on Sunday. Brittany Thompson had been a weekend guest of her father, Ron Thompson, and grandparents, Julia and John Snethen.
