My name is Glenda Baker and I’m running for El Dorado Springs City Council. I grew up and graduated high school here. Later, college courses from MU and Texas A&M University. I have five children and hope they will always look forward to time here with their families. I have been an active community participate wherever I’ve lived. I feel it is important to be involved in our community not just live here. I would like to see better communication between the City and citizens. It is important to feel comfortable voicing our concerns. I think growth in the Main Street/Downtown area would also help highway businesses. Clean-up and beautification are important in showing off our community and it needs some attention.

Glenn Roe – seeking position of school board member.
I have successfully managed a business for 10+ years, as well as been a part of youth sports in the community. I am running for this office to provide a service to the community as well as help in the decision making process regarding my children’s education.

My name is Nathan Murry. I am running for the El Dorado Springs Board of Education.
What qualifications do I have to help fulfill the requirements of this office?
I think I would be a good member of the Board of Education because I have served one 3-year term already so I feel that has really prepared me to be an even better board member, as have learned alot over the past 3 years.
Why am I running for this particular office?
I am running because I want our school to be the best that it can be for our kids, our community, and our future. I have lived in Eldo my whole life, and attended school here from kindergarten on. I also have children that attend school here, as well as friends and family that have kids here at the school. It really means alot to me for this school district to excel, keep moving forward, and doing everything we can for our students, staff, and community.
What do I hope to accomplish if elected?
If elected, I want to be a voice for all students in the district, as well as everyone living in the district. While always doing what’s best for the kids, there will be very tough decisions sometimes. I believe if I make decisions that always put the students first good things will happen. Thank you.

There is one five-year term for the Cedar County Memorial Hospital Board. Katie McGee is running unopposed. She did not respond.
