The El Dorado Springs Summer Baseball and Softball League was a huge success. Both teams went undefeated in their respected leagues and both teams won the season ending tournament.

In the High School Baseball League, El Dorado Springs had victories over Halfway, Hermitage and Wheatland. In the High School Softball League, El Dorado Springs had victories over Lakeland, Lockwood, Osceola, Montrose and Stockton.

The El Dorado Springs Baseball Team won the tournament championship over Northeast Vernon County and the El Dorado Springs Softball Team won their tournament championship over Montrose.

El Dorado Springs also entered a Middle School team in the high school division and played very well against high school teams.

“It was great to watch both ElDo teams this summer. Both teams are dominated by young talent and led by experienced upper classmen. Coach Mays and Coach Waters did a great job with the kids. The future is bright for ElDo baseball and softball.”

“I want to thank Ronnie Simmons and Jeremy Hayes for the time and effort they have put forth in developing these young players. Ronnie coaches El Dorado Springs 14 and under team and Jeremy coaches the 12 and under team. Both of them have coached their teams for the last three years or more, traveling all over the state, just because they love the sport of baseball and they love our great town. Both of these men have taught their players how to play the game with respect, dedication, effort and attitude.”
