We said our TOPS & KOPS Pledges

Laura led us in roll call; 21 members weighed in. The chapter had a loss of 6.0 lbs. and a gain of 3.6 with a net Loss of 2.4 lbs.

Best loser for the week was Samantha with a loss of 1.4 lbs. Congratulations Samantha.  We are so proud of you and so happy to have some “younger” members in our chapter.

Marble Game: Judy B won the right to draw but did not get the winning one.

Judy B had the program today. She took her program from the TOPS NEWS March/April 2019. Her program was titled:

“Some questions Doctors are frequently asked.”

“If you take a multivitamin, do you have to watch what you eat?

Yes, a vitamin does not replace a diet of fresh healthy foods.

“If I work out 30 minutes there is no need to be active the rest of the day.”

A 30-minute workout is certainly recommended but your body needs regular activity throughout the day.

“Am I too old to exercise?”  No one is ever too old to exercise.  Lack of exercise causes weakness and poor balance.  Find a form of activity you enjoy and can do.  Water Aerobics, and chair yoga are some forms of exercise that are easy on your joints.

“Should I avoid eating eggs?”  No, eggs are a good source of protein and are good for you.

Thank you, Judy B, for a very interesting program.

Linda Hall caught up on some awards. Jan received a Back in Black with Perfect attendance award for May. Warren also received a Back in Black with Perfect Attendance for May.

The quilt square photo of what Marie’s daughter, Kathy will do was sent out by email last week. Most thought it was very nice. We will tell Kathy to go ahead and do it for us.

We will go over the by-laws next week.  Please bring your copy of the current ones and any ideas of changes you would like to discuss.
