TOPS Chapter 9319 El Dorado Springs met in The Preferred Family Healthcare building, 700 E. Hospital Rd, El Dorado Springs on Thursday, Aug. 10, for their regular weigh-in and meeting.

Warren led us in roll call; 18 members weighed in. The chapter had a loss of 15.2 lbs. and a gain of 4.2 with a net LOSS of 11 lbs.
Some good losses were: Sue 1.6. Constance 2.8 and Warren 3.2
Best loser for the week was Pat; she lost 6.6 lbs. Congrats.
Linda presented Juanita with her best loser of the month certificate and the $13 she won.
Marble Game: Carol won the right to draw but did not get the winning one. The pot is up to $68.
Jean reported the gifts for the teachers arrived and were delivered to the Chamber Office. The other TOPS Chapter assisted in the purchase of these gifts.
Those who attended Fun Day commented on it. Generally, everyone had a good time.
Again, the Global Seminar scheduled for August of 2024 in Springfield was discussed. It will be a three-day seminar. Titled “Seeds of Hope.” As we understand it this will be a meeting pertaining to the specifics of weight loss. Nathan Osmond will be there as a speaker and possibly an entertainer. No information yet on cost. Anyone wanting to go will have to make their own hotel reservations. We are assuming more information will follow.
Margie had the program today. Margie came to us as “Mrs. Osborn” who teaches a class on Nutrition; fact or fiction. She gave us a Nutrition quiz.
Some of her questions were: Green Olives are horrible for you? True or False? Correct answer, False. They contain good fats and are good for you.
Anchovies are good for you? True or False? True, although high in salt their benefits outweigh the high sodium.
Margie then had the chapter sample a delicious tray of anchovies, cream cheese, green olive, and salami on a cracker. Some of our members who thought they did not like Anchovies discovered they were not all that bad. Thank you, Margie, for a
