Morning message at the Rockville United Methodist Church was by Lay Pastor David Souza entitled “What small thing do you have to give” from John 6: 1-21.

Mt. Zion Home Bible study was held in Tom and Beverly Pelkey home with nine in attendance. We invite you to joins us at Tom and Beverly Pelkey’s home Tuesday nights at 7 p.m. to study the Bible.

The Mt. Zion Community Club will meet in the home of Joela Dains Aug. 15, for an afternoon meeting of celebrating the club’s birthday and bingo.

Still hot and dry in the Mt. Zion area and the day seem to be getting shorter.

Sheri Suster is home doing well taking therapy three days a week.

June Marshall is doing what June does best going shopping, visiting and still working in her art room. One morning she did watch a coyote take an apple from the apple tree.

Was sad to see all the trees in the timber dying, big beautiful trees.

Visitors in the Stanley Zink home Sunday to help Stanley celebrate his birthday was Stacy Griffith, Tom and Beverly Pelkey, and Howard and Dixie Peterson.

Howard and Dixie Peterson hosted a birthday supper Friday for Clyde Keith and Stanley Zink. Other guests were June Keith and Marge Zink.

Weekend visitors in the Peterson home was Kent, Mitchel and Tucker Crawford. Saturday evening the Crawford crew entertained with a fish fry, Clyde Keith, Howard and Dixie Peterson was among those attending.

Julia and John Snethen and grandson, Jeffrey, have had a busy week visiting, running errands and John did go to Oklahoma to pick up Jim, Jeffrey’s dad, so he could be here when Jeffrey got baptized. Shella Akers stop by and spent the night with her grandparents. Julia went to Kansas City to attend classes Saturday returning with Rex and Taylor Shella’s dogs for their time on the farm. Jim and Jeffrey Thompson did run over to El Dorado Springs Sunday afternoon to visit his dad.
