Lake Stockton Report

Stockton State Park Marina
A couple of guys brought in a lot of crappie the last couple of nights. They said they were using lights.
The crappie were keepers, but not much bigger than keepers.
We have a few crappie beds throughout this area.
People have been bringing in a steady amount of catfish. They are using perch on trotlines and jugs. The cats run up to 10 lbs. a couple of blues but mainly flatheads.
Bluegill are around bridge piers.
Taberville Report

Dains Fish Farm
Fishing is good, but it’s too hot to fish.
The people I talked to who are fishing in the river said they aren’t dying on the lines which surprises me.
Frankie Kieth said the big cats turned on a couple of weeks ago on rod and reel baited with shad. I can still sell shad.
You can catch some crappie if you want to go.
I sell bait every day. There is somebody fishing.
Most of the people I have been selling to have been going down on Truman Lake. The ones I sell to are fishing for catfish. Minnows are so hard to keep alive. Jigs will catch fish.
