Norrene Violet Salonimer, 91, passed away on Friday, Aug. 24, 2012, at her home in rural Stockton, MO. She was born on Sept. 19, 1920, to Charles and Violet (Young) Lousseau in Owendale, MI.
She served as the Assistant Superintendent and later as the President of the Retired Teachers Association for the Independence School District. She was an Elder in the Community of Christ Church. She enjoyed mystery books and crossword puzzles.
Norrene was preceded in death by her parents and three husbands – Leopold Zyskowski, Joseph Farley and Joseph Salonimer.
She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Draper, rural Stockton; three sisters – Edmere Shaw – Santa Maria, CA, Yvonne McClain – Henderson, NV and Joann Stewart – Detroit, MI; five grandchildren – David Alan Draper, Cynthia Ann Gibson, Bryan Evan Draper, Michael Dale Draper and Lance Aaron Draper; eight great-grandchildren – Christopher Cerras, Tabitha Draper, Courtney Draper, Kim Draper, Laci Draper, Ashlie Draper, Benjamin Baker serving at Fort Riley and Jonathin Baker serving in Afghanistan; and one great-great-grandchild Selena Marie Cerras.
Final disposition was cremation under the care of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.
