The El Dorado Springs Middle School had a very successful ElDo Middle School Student Showcase. This year’s theme was a salute to outstanding student work.
The Showcase was Thursday, Sept. 20, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the El Dorado Springs Middle School building. Melanie Steward said the there was a great turnout and a total of 157 Middle School students in attendance with their parents and families.
Student work was displayed from grades 6, 7 and 8 in all classes.
Mrs. Trish Boyles, sixth grade English teacher, heard several parents say “The students and teachers have done a great job with all of these projects. It really looks nice.”
Interactive displays kept many students, parents and teachers engaged. There was a scavenger hunt again this year in which the students earned extra credit for participating. It was set up to follow the hallway to flow in order of the classrooms instead of jumping around from opposite hallways.
Mrs. Cindy Graves, eighth grade Social Studies teacher, heard several parents say, “I liked the questions being in order and thought the kids did great work.”
It was a wonderful opportunity to meet the families of our students. We, the faculty and staff at El Dorado Springs Middle School, would like to thank all of the parents for their time and support of their child’s education. Without you, they would not be successful. Thank you so much for making this event a success.
