In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

On August 27, 2018, officers arrested Sydney D. Loomis, 18, of El Dorado Springs, charging her with Operating Motor Vehicle with No Driver’s License, Failure to Display a Valid License Plate, Operated Motor Vehicle on Roadway with No Financial Responsibility. She was released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On August 27, 2018, officers responded to the 600 block of South Forrest Street concerning a fight in progress. The investigation resulted in the arrests of  April D. Green, 40, Alan B. Green, 17, Tyee A. Mahurin, 17, and Veronica B. Roberts, 17, of El Dorado Springs  charging them with peace disturbance by fighting. They were released on summonses pending a court appearance. Additionally, juvenile was referred to the Juvenile Office for peace disturbance by fighting.

On August 28, 2018, officers responded to 212 West Walnut Street concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a Bush Hog, 52 inch cut zero turn lawn mower. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On August 28, 2018, officers arrested Lorrie J. Smith, 46, of El Dorado Springs, for a Cedar County Probation Violation Warrant, on the original charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance, with no bond. She was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending a court appearance.

On August 29, 2018, officers responded to 801 East Gentry Street concerning a reported assault. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Dillon R. Berning, 26, of El Dorado Springs, charging him with assault and possession of marijuana. He was released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On August 29, 2018, officers responded to 305 South High Street concerning a reported disturbance. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Jerome F. Hetherington, 32, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Domestic Assault, Driving While Suspended and Property Damage. Officers completed a probable cause statement for these charges. Officers received a Cedar County Warrant charging Hetherington with Domestic Assault 4th Degree, Property Damage 2nd Degree and Driving While Suspended with a $2,000.00 cash bond. He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and a court appearance.

On August 30, 2018, officers responded to 121 West Lafayette Street concerning a reported Trespassing. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Misty M. Ruston, 38, of El Dorado Springs, charging her with Assault and Trespassing 1st Degree. She was released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On August 31, 2018, officers responded to 222 West Olive Street concerning a reported domestic disturbance. The investigation resulted in the arrest of James A. Mansell, 34, of El Dorado Springs, charging him with assault. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On September 1, 2018, officers responded to 500 East Fields, trailer 15, concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a 5 foot fake tree and a cooler with tools. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On September 2, 2018, officers responded to 227 West US 54 Highway concerning a reported larceny of a bicycle.  A report taken and the investigation continues.
