In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

July 17 – Officers responded to 207 South Park concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of lawn ornaments, a report was taken and the investigation is continuing.

July 18 – Arrest: Jordan D. Owens, age 19, of Mt. Vernon, for two active Cedar County Probation and Parole Violation warrants, both warrants had the original charge of burglary and no bond. He was transported to Cedar County Sheriff’s office pending a court appearance.

July 19 – Officers responded to 909 South Main concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a concrete mushroom lawn ornament, a report was taken and the investigation is continuing.

Arrest: James C. Cheek, age 36, of Milo, for possession of controlled substance and driving while suspended, as the result of a traffic stop. A Cedar County warrant was issued for Cheek charging him with possession of controlled substance and driving while suspended.  On July 20, 2017, he was released on bond pending a court appearance.

Officers responded to 410 South Ohio concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a sliver, Mongoose Rebel Bicycle, with 20 inch rims with eight spokes. A report was taken and the investigation is continuing.

July 20 – Arrest: Jason Leer, age 17, of El Dorado Springs for two counts possession of drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct in the Park and possession of marijuana. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

July 21 – Officers responded to 509 West Fields in reference to a burglary. The investigation revealed the theft of approximately $40 in change. A report was taken and the investigation is continuing.

July 21 – Arrests: Landon J. Daniel, age 29, of El Dorado Springs for  a Municipal warrant for failure to appear with a cash or surety bond of $542, and a Cedar County warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of unlawful use of drug paraphernalia with a cash only bond of $350.Daniel received a citation for resisting Arrest. He was transported to Cedar County Sheriff’s office pending a court appearance.

Jacob J. Patalsky, age 36, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal warrant for and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He received a summons for possession of drug paraphernalia and was transferred to Cedar County Sheriff’s office pending bond or a court appearance.

July 22 – Officers responded to 600 South Kirkpatrick concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a cell phone and an IPOD. A report was taken and the investigation is continuing.

Arrest: Eric M. Tompkins, age 32, of El Dorado Springs for an active Cedar County failure to appear warrant for his arrest, on the original charges of driving while intoxicated and failure to provide proof of financial responsibility with a bond of $500 cash only. He was transferred to Cedar County Sheriff’s office pending a court appearance.

July 23 – Arrest: Jonathan C. Mart, age 18, of El Dorado Springs for minor in possession of alcohol.  He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

Officers responded to 504 East Fields, Trailer B4, concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a window air-conditioner, a report was taken and the investigation is continuing.

Officers responded to 201 East Twyman concerning a reported assault. A suspect has been identified, a report was taken and the investigation is continuing.
