In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Nov 27 – Officers responded to 1005 East Patricia concerning a reported property damage to a vehicle. A report taken and the investigation continued. On Dec 1, 2017, officers arrested Matthew A. Miller, 22, of El Dorado Springs, charging him with false report to police. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

Nov 27 – Arrest: Joseph I. Ramsey, 27, of El Dorado Springs, for a Vernon County warrant charging him with failure to appear on the original charge of owning/operating a motor vehicle without maintaining financial responsibility with a $137 cash bond. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

Nov 28 – Officers of the El Dorado Springs Police Department assisted by deputies of the Cedar County Sheriff’s office served a search warrant at 508 South Grand Street after receiving information concerning illegal drug activity.  Officers located and seized illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia and a handgun.  The investigation resulted in the arrest of Ginna L. Lavallee, 39, and Dusty J Lavallee, 19, of El Dorado Springs charging them with possession of less than 35 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.  They were released on summonses pending a court appearance.

Nov 28, – Arrest: John D. Donahue, 33, of El Dorado Springs, for Cedar County warrants, charging him with possession of controlled substance, a class D felony with a $5,000 bond, and a probation violation warrant on the original charges of two counts of possession of controlled substance with no bond. He was transported to the Cedar County jail pending bond and a court appearance.

Nov 29 –  Arrests: Erin M. Jones, 36, of El Dorado Springs, charging her with driving while revoked. She was released on summons pending a court appearance.

Nov 29 – John R. Gruber, 38, of El Dorado Springs, for a El Dorado Springs Municipal Court warrant, charging him with stealing utilities with a $175.50 bond. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

Nov 29 – William E. Logston, 35, of El Dorado Springs, for a Lamar Municipal Court warrant charging him with failure to appear on an original charge of property damage with a $50 cash bond,  a Granby Municipal warrant, charging him with failure to appear on an original charge of operating a motor vehicle in a careless and reckless manner with a $500 cash bond and a parole violation warrant on the original charge of burglary, 2nd degree with no bond.  He was transferred to the Cedar County jail pending bond and court appearances.

Dec 1 – Officers responded to 205 1/2 West 54 Hwy, Dollar General Store, concerning a reported larceny. A suspect has been identified, a report taken and the property was returned to owner.

Dec 1 – Officers responded to 200 West McCrary Circle concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a cell phone. A report taken and the investigation continues.

Dec 2 – Arrest: Robert D. Meisenheimer, 59, of Nevada, for a Vernon County warrant charging him with possession of a controlled substance with a $7,500 bond. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

Dec 2 – Officers responded to 115 East  54, Pittstop, concerning an attempted larceny. A report taken and the investigation continues.

Dec 2 – Officers responded to 312 West 54, Woods Supermarket, concerning a report larceny. A report taken and the investigation continues.

Dec 3 – Officers responded to 500 East Fields, Trailer 14, concerning a reported domestic disturbance. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Darion M. Hammond, 22, of El Dorado Springs, charging her with third degree domestic assault. Officers completed a probable cause statement for these charges.
