In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

On June 11, 2018, officers arrested Joseph A. Fritts, 24, of El Dorado Springs, charging him with Failure to Obey a Reasonable Request of Police Officer, Operating Motor Vehicle While Suspended, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On June 11, 2018, officer arrested Samantha K. Johnson, 22, of El Dorado Springs, charging her with Obstruction of Police Officer, Fail to Obey a Reasonable Request of Police Officer, Assault on a Police Officer, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She was released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On June 11, 2018, officers responded to 407 East Patricia concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of cash. A suspect has been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 12, 2018, officers responded to 403 1/2 East Fields concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of solar lights. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 12, 2018, officers of the El Dorado Springs Police and Voluntary Fire Departments responded to 209 West Lafayette concerning a reported structure fire. Upon arrival the structure was fully involved in fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire. Officers investigating the scene located evidence of an Arson fire. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 12, 2018, officers responded to 501 South Main Street concerning a reported burglary in progress. The investigation resulted in the arrests Kayla E. Fowler, 26,  Lauren G. Thornton, 26, and Christian M. Myers, 25, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Burglary 2nd Degree, Possession of a Controlled Substance. Officers complete a Probable Cause Statement for these charges. Officers received a Cedar County Warrant charging Myers with Burglary 2nd Degree a class D Felony, and Possession of a Controlled Substance, with a $5000.00 bond.  Fowler and Thornton were released on summonses charging them with trespassing and Myers was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On June 14, 2018, officers responded to 1000 South Allison, apt 4, concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of ashtrays. A suspect has been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 14, 2018, officers responded to 308 West Joe Davis concerning a reported Domestic Assault. A suspect had been identified, report taken and the investigation continued. On June 15, 2018, officers arrested Briana N. Watson, 17, of El Dorado Springs, charging her with Assault. She was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On June 15, 2018, officers arrested Erin M Jones, 36, of El Dorado Springs, charging her with Driving While Revoked and El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging her with Failure to Appear to answer to the charge of Driving While Revoked with a $475.50 bond. She was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On June 15, 2018, officers arrested Brandee G. Lawson, 41, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear on original charges of No Operator’s License, No License Plates and Fail to show Proof of Insurance, with $2331.50 bond. He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending bond or a court appearance.

On June 15, 2018, officers responded to 423 South Main concerning a reported assault. Suspects have been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 15, 2018 officers responded to 119 West Broadway concerning a reported assault. Suspects have been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 16, 2018, officers responded to 504 East Fields, A9, concerning a reported assault. A suspect has been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 17, 2018, officers responded to 504 South Summer concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a Ruger .380 cal ACP pistol. A report taken and the investigation continues.
