The St. Clair County Commission met Monday, Feb. 26, with Robert Salmon, presiding commissioner, Leroy Strope, north commissioner, Gerald Williams, south commissioner, Debbie Peden, county clerk and Marian McCaslin, administrative assistant present.

The Commissioners spoke with St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office, Representative Mike Crocker regarding the Wireless Instant Notification System in the Courthouse. The Commissioner spoke with Lookout Portable Security Systems regarding a bid for this system.

The commissioners spoke with a representative of Verizon regarding the telephone for Road and Bridge Department. Verizon is to send a new telephone as the current one is not working properly.

Alec Lawson, representing the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office, was in to discuss Grants for the Sheriff’s Office. The Commissioners signed a document granting authorization for the Sheriff’s Office to participate in Missouri’s Highway Safety Program.

Commission met Wednesday, Feb. 28, with all present.

A telephone call was received regarding Planning and Zoning in St. Clair County.

The Commissioners signed a letter of support pertaining to a grant for the Drug Court.

AT 12:20 p.m. Commissioner Strope made a motion to adjourn. Commissioner Williams seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Commission met Monday, March 5, with all present.

Commissioner Strope made a motion to approve #137 Outlaw for Personal Property Tax Year 2014, #4020 though #4041 outlaw for Real Estate Tax Year 2012 and Tax Additions and Abatements #4042 though #4045. Motion carried.

Robert Eastburn, representing Empower Plan Insurance, visited with the Commission regarding CERF Savings Plan.

Deborah Powell, Henry County Chief Juvenile Officer and Anthony Evans, Bates County Chief Deputy Juvenile Officer, were in to visit with the Commissioners regarding current pending legislation for Juvenile Services.

The Commissioners received a telephone call from energy developers, Orion Energy Group, regarding Planning and Zoning for St. Clair County.

The Commissioners and County Clerk Debbie Peden continued working on updating the Personnel Policy Handbook.
