The St. Clair County Commission met Monday, June 3, with Robert Salmon, presiding commissioner; Leroy Strope, north commissioner; Gerald Williams, south commissioner; Debbie Peden, county clerk and Marian McCaslin, administrative assistant present.

The Commissioners had general discussion regarding current location of motor graders and brush cutters and current condition of the roads.

The Commissioners and Road and Bridge Supervisor Cole Cochran met to discuss pipe installation at Taberville and rock prices. They discussed road conditions, equipment locations and a pipe replacement on NW 726 Rd.,

After discussion with Lindsey Chaffin, representing Great River Engineering: Presiding Commission Salmon bade the motion to award the bid to Granger Dirt work.

St. Clair County Commission met Monday, June 10, with Robert Salmon, presiding commissioner; Leroy Strope, north commissioner; Gerald Williams, south commissioner; Debbie Peden, county clerk and Lori Rowe, administrative assistant present.

A citizen reported a bad wash out on NW 825 Rd.

A local resident was in regarding the condition of NE 301 Rd.

General discussion by the Commissioners concerning conditions on SW 900 Rd., due to flooding in that area.

On NW 726 Rd. the pip is damaged and in need of repair. The commissioners are looking into the best way to fix this issue.

Commissioner Williams made a motion to appoint Ann Hueseman to the Library Board, Motion carried. (Ann Hueseman’s term had expired and she had applied for another four-year term.)

County Sales Taxes for the month of April 2019, were $33,736.27.

Commission met Wednesday, June 12, with all present.

The Commissioners had a general discussion about road conditions and the locations of equipment.

Commissioner Williams made a motion to adopt Resolution 19-02 to approve the Resolution of Membership for the Regional Planning Commission and Economic Development District and appoint Commissioner Williams to represent St. Clair County at the meetings of Kaysinger Basin economic Development District Board of Directors. Motion carried.

Commissioner Strope made the motion to continue membership in the Quad Lakes Solid Waste Management District. Motion carried. Presiding Commissioner Salmon will represent St. Clair County at the meetings.

Commission met Monday, June 17, with all present.

The Commissioners had a general discussion about road conditions and the locations of the equipment. Graders are being used to clear debris off the road where the water is already down.

Commissioner Strope made a motion to approve Abatement #5107. Motion carried.

Commission met Wednesday, June 19, with all present.

The Commissioners had a general discussion about road conditions and the locations of the equipment.

Commission met Monday, June 24, with all present.

The Commissioners interviewed an applicant for a part-time Road and Bridge job.

Pat Terry, St. Clair County Recorder, updated the Commissioners on advertising for bids and selection of a new Micro Film machine. Funds will come form the Recorder’s Maintenance Fund.

Ms. Terry advised the Commission that Micro Film is the approved method for storage of records.

CART Revenues received were $54, 249.77. $38,960.32 was the portion going to Common Road District. Out of these revenues, funds were allotted to the following Special Road Districts: Appleton City Special $2,702.68; Chloe Special $1,776.05; Collins Special $3,474.87; Hillsdale Special $1,776.05; Osceola Special $2,857.12; Vista Special $2,702.68.

Commission met Friday, June 28, with all present.

The Commissioners had a general discussion about road conditions and the locations of the equipment.

The County Treasurer, Rhonda Shelby, visited with the commission about the status of Certificates of deposit. After some discussion, the County Commission was in agreeance with the various options for deposits at St. Clair County State Bank.

Commissioner Strope made a motion to approve the Land Commissioner’s Sale of lots 15 and 16 at Twin Oaks Harbor to Sarah E. Hansen for $364.20 and $356.27. Motion carried.
