The El Dorado Springs boys basketball team started a busy week by traveling to Lamar on Tuesday. Lamar jumped out to an early lead, outscoring El Dorado 16-5 in the first quarter. The Bulldogs played tough the rest of the game but could not cut into the lead and lost 64-50.

Shelby McKinney led the Bulldogs with 19 points and Brayden Housh added 12.

There was no rest for the Bulldogs who traveled to Skyline on Wednesday to make up the postponed consolation game of the Skyline Tournament. El Dorado faced Macks Creek. The Bulldogs led 31-20 at the half and extended the lead in the second half to win the consolation game 67-51.

McKinney again led the Bulldogs with 14 and Brayden Housh and Preston Robison added 12 each.

The week was not finished for El Dorado as they traveled to Rich Hill on Thursday for three road games in three nights. The Bulldogs struggled through the first half but held a 27-25 lead at halftime. The Bulldogs could not hold off the Tigers in the second half and lost 52-47.

Shelby McKinney had 16 and Brayden Housh had 10.

El Dorado travels to Clinton for the Clinton Tournament this week. The Bulldogs open up against the host Clinton Cardinals on Monday at 7:30.
