El Dorado Springs Bulldogs Varsity could never quite get over the hump against Hermitage, so eventually Hermitage prevailed 13-4 on Thursday. The game was tied at three with Hermitage batting in the top of the fifth when Allyson Snodgrass induced Hostettler to ground out, but one run scored.

Hermitage captured the lead in the first inning. Hostettler drove in one when she singled in the first inning.

El Dorado Springs Bulldogs Varsity evened things up at three in the bottom of the fourth inning. Christian walked Jace Cundiff with the bases loaded to drive in a run.

Hermitage scored eight runs in the sixth inning. The big inning for Hermitage came thanks to a single by Hostettler, a fielder’s choice by Hostettler, an error, an error, and an error.

Christian earned the win for Hermitage. She went seven innings, surrendering four runs, six hits and striking out two. Allyson Snodgrass took the loss for El Dorado Springs Bulldogs Varsity. She tossed seven innings, giving up 13 runs, seven hits and striking out four.

Cundiff and Payton Babcock each drove in two runs to lead El Dorado Springs Bulldogs Varsity.

Hermitage collected seven hits. Hostettler and Hostettler each collected multiple hits for Hermitage.
