WHIRLWIND KARATE CLASSIC – by Renshi Van Dyk. Students representing El Dorado Springs Karate Club traveled to Tulsa, OK to competed in the Whirlwind Karate Classic hosted by Denise and Larry Wells and sanctioned by NASKA-Midwest Sport Karate Association.

As always competitors from all over the mid-west region was present to compete in a tournament that always showcase some awesome of the best martial arts talent in America.

Jenna Runkle competed in the 8-9 Youth Novice Division where Jenna placed 5th in Traditional Weapons and 1st in Open Hand Forms.

Jordan Runkle competed in the 6-7 Youth Intermediate Division and placed 3rd in Traditional Weapons, 1st in Traditional Forms and 3rd in Point Sparring.

Jacey Swopes competed in the 8-9 Youth Intermediate Division and did a phenomenal job and earned herself a Double First by winning both the Traditional Weapons Forms and Open Hand Forms Divisions. Jacey also was chosen as the tournament Excellence in Forms Competitor.
