Everett H. (Bud) Reeves, Jr. 67, was born Dec. 23, 1953, in Nevada, to Everett H. (Lucky) Reeves and Althea P. Biggs Reeves. He left this world on Feb. 6, 2021 in Kansas City, KS, following a short illness.

Bud graduated from Grandview High School in 1971 and joined the Missouri National Guard Military Police in 1972. He served his country well and was honorably discharged in 1978.

On Aug. 26, 1972, Bud married the love of his life, Jennifer Ann Rhoads. To this union three beautiful children were born, Trinity Marie, Robin Lynn, and Everett H Reeves, III.

Bud was a hard worker all his life. He worked for Omar the Tentmaker. He delivered heart equipment all over Kansas City. He drove a school bus and worked in a chemical factory. He spent 31 years working for the Boilermakers Local 83 welding exotic metals. He retired in December 2008 and spent the rest of his time spoiling his grandbabies. Bud enjoyed historical re-enactments as well as scrimshawing and map making. He made many beautiful creations. He loved riding his trike with his true love Jennifer and they traveled many miles together. He loved to teach his grandbabies all kinds of things including many life skills. He was an active member of the Aerie Eagles 4279 and could be found handing out candy bars to all the kids at the club.

Bud is survived by his wife of 48 years, Jennifer; two children, Trinity Wise (Harry Thornton) and Everett (Beth) Reeves, as well as his bonus daughter, Chastity (Mike) McCullick; grandchildren, Whitney Franklin (David Judd), Randon Alexander (Daisy Patterson), Kevin (Alecia) Alexander, Haley (Matthew) Thurman, Amanda Wise (Cody Marshall), Lillian Reeves, as well as his bonus grandchildren, Bradley, KayLynne and Gannon McCullick; great-grandchildren, Bryce Judd, Laranna Marshall, James Alexander and Mason Thurman. He is also survived by his siblings Della (Steve) Bailey, Nickie Reeves, Chris Fisher, Brenda Renshaw, Charlie Shaw and his mother in law, Nancy Moore, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and a multitude of family and friends.

Bud is preceded in death by his parents, Lucky, Vivian and Althea; father in law, George Rhoads; mother in law, Dee Rhoads and his beautiful daughter, Robin Lynn.
