Tri county Quilt Club met July 11, for regular meeting to celebrate club’s UFO (that’s quilt talk) for unfinished project. Tri-County celebrated in July with a carry-in lunch at 12:30. Evonne Andersen asked the blessing. Fourteen people enjoyed the bountiful lunch. Club president Mary Mc d called the meeting to order. Secretary and treasure’s report was read and approved. Plans were discussed for field trips.
Show and Tell were by Mary McLeod, Archie Pier, Evonne Andersen, Phyllis Stewart, Marge Zink and Donna Engleman.
Afternoon was spent playing bingo, Beverly Sullians called bingo. The winner chose a sealed bag of quilt related prizes until everyone won a prize, then taking turns opening them.
Next meeting will be at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 1, at the Rockville United Methodist Church fellowship Hall.
Mt. Zion Club met July 22, with 10 ladies present, at noon a delicious carry-in lunch was enjoyed. Wilma gave the devotion “Do not fear”! Business was conducted, Marge Osburn demonstrated using an electric rotor cutter, Marge Zink read a poem by Loreen Blackwell Hammons “Thank you Lord”! The afternoon was spent playing Bingo.
Next meeting will be Aug. 17, and will celebrate our 99th birthday.
