Fire report for week of Aug. 28

On Tuesday, Aug. 30, at 1:56 a.m. the fire department was dispatched to a residence on Co. Rd. 304 for a car fire. Two trucks and 11 firefighters responded.
Same day at 11:32 a.m. the department was dispatched to the airport to set up and protect a landing zone for a medical aircraft. Two trucks and six firefighters responded.
They also at that time assisted the EMS crew with a lift assist in Virgil City. One truck and four firefighters assisted.
On Wednesday, Aug. 31, at 10:54 p.m. the fire department was dispatched to a residence on W. Hickory to assist EMS. Nine firefighters responded.
On Saturday, Sept. 3, at 6:32 p.m. the fire department was dispatched to a grass fire at SW 600 Rd. and Hwy. 82 in St. Clair County. Two trucks and seven firefighters responded.
