The lake is 4 1/2 feet below normal pool. They are catching the heck out of smallies on deep running crank baits.

Kenny Long called the MDC office in El Dorado Springs. Deb couldn’t find any mention of a walleye ”breeder” program so she called Fisheries. They said it doesn’t exist. So if you catch a big walleye legally you don’t have to release it.

People are catching lots of catfish on fishheads at 24 ft. and below.

You can go to an app called MO FISHING and see about a hundred brushpiles the Corps has placed in the lake. You can do that on any Corps lake.
