Stanley Alan Gray, 68, passed away Thursday, Dec. 26, 2024, from a battle with an illness at HCA Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. He was born to Ulous Leo Gray and Florence Lee (Smith) Gray on Oct. 8, 1956, in Kansas City, MO. Stanley was the 4th of five children.
After High School Stanley joined the United States Marine Corp. After returning from the United States Marine Corp, he was joined in marriage to Lana Gay (Pettibon) Gray on Nov. 12, 1976. To this union four children were born: Gayla, Alan, Justin and Alicia.
During his lifetime he worked various occupations. He was a used car salesman (S & L Motors), ran the Kansas City Newspaper route in El Dorado Springs, worked at Daycom Communications in Bolivar, M), along with various other occupations in his lifetime.
Stanley enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a kind, fun loving soul and was willing to help others in their time of need.
Stanley is survived by daughter, Gayla Gray of Bolivar, MO; son, Justin Gray of Bolivar, MO; daughter, Alicia Gray of Bolivar, MO; five grandchildren: Chance Gray, Alexa Gray, Zane Gray, Rachelle Gray, and Ariana Cleveland; sisters: Ann Love of Kansas City, MO, Hope Gray, and Sue Gray of Sedalia, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Michael Gray; his wife, Lana (Pettibon) Gray; and his son, Alan Gray.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5, 2025, at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home in El Dorado Springs. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made at Mid Missouri Bank under Stanley’s name. Online condolences may be left at www.blandhackleman.com.
