The river is normal. They had several fish on trotlines this morning – mostly blue cats with a few flat heads. It was cloudy yesterday so it didn’t get too hot to fish. I went to the Picnic Thursday and got my corndog
We are open from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. Closed Sundays and Mondays until next snagging season.

Crappie are on standing timber in 20 ft. of water down about 10-15 ft.
Crappie are on the brush piles. Just getting them to bite is the main thing. I’ve had a bad couple of days. There are lots of shad. I knew we were getting ready to hit the wall where the crappie won’t bite.
The walleye0 are starting to hit on the points on a jig and nightcrawler.
The lake is 84 or 85 degrees at about the same height.
Our hours are 8-5.

You’ve got to want to be a fisherman the last few days. I haven’t seen many fish come into the fish cleaning station.
A buddy of mine caught a 26 inch walleye off the bridge at Caplinger. That’s the biggest walleye I’ve seen come out of the lake.
Our hours are 7- 7.
