Kenneth Walter Davis, 59, Schell City, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Dec. 22, 2025. Ken was born June 13, 1966, to Paul William Davis Jr and Connie Sue (Malee) Davis of Schell City, the fifth of six children. As a child growing up in Blue Springs, Ken played baseball, hunted, fished and rode his unicycle up and down the gravel road. In school Ken enjoyed basketball, FFA and 4H. Ken graduated from El Dorado Springs High School.
During his lifetime, Ken worked for Sibley & Thatch grocery store, Schell Osage Wildlife Conservation and 3M Nevada. Ken had a true passion for hunting and archery. In 2019 he took 3rd place in the world at the IBO Traditional World Championship for archery. Ken did everything with pride and excellence. He took great pride in training archers for competition, sharing his knowledge and experience and leading with excellence.
July 15, 2022, Ken was joined in marriage to Ginger Maus of Schell City. They were re-baptized together, and Ken renewed his relationship with his Savior, Jesus Christ. With his marriage, Ken was blessed with four step-children: Trevor, Taylor, Andrea and Arayah. He delighted in his role as Dad and as Papa to his ten grandchildren, and they delighted in him. His other true passion in life was serving as a greeter at church and heading up the church security team. Everyone who arrived at Life Church knew they were safe and welcome when greeted with Ken’s smile.
Ken is survived by his wife, Ginger; step-children: Trevor Seitz (Blair) of Nevada, Taylor Ashworth (Cole) of Warsaw, MO, Andrea Bowline (Logan) of Neosho, MO, and Arayah Copes of the home; his ten grandchildren; siblings: Will Davis (Robin) of Schell City, Betty Cooper of Odessa, MO, Sabetha Davis of Schell City, Paula Padilla (Elias) of Fresco, CA, and Mark Davis (Joy) of Boise, ID; uncle, Clint Davis (Laura) of Sedalia, MO; parents-in-law; two brothers-in-law; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Paul William Davis, Jr. and Connie Sue Davis; grandparents: Ted Malee (Allene), Mamie Johnson (George Leroy), Iva Lewis (Glenn), and Paul Davis, Sr. (Helen); and his brother-in-law, Eric Maus.
Services for Ken were held Friday, Dec. 26, under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home. He was laid to rest in Green Lawn Cemetery in Schell City.
