Bald eagles are making their way to the Ozarks, and the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) is celebrating their annual return with Eagle Days on Saturday, Jan. 17.
This special event includes activities and programs at two locations: Springfield Conservation Nature Center and the Lake Springfield Boathouse.
Look for bald eagles in the wild with the help of volunteers and spotting scopes at the Lake Springfield Boathouse from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Don’t miss three presentations with live birds of prey – a turkey vulture and an owl – from the Dickerson Park Zoo at 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and noon at Springfield Conservation Nature Center.
Eagle Days is open to all ages. No registration required.
