Morning message at the Rockville United Methodist Church was by Pastor Nick Van Dam entitled “The Mystery of Faith;” welcome to join us Sunday morning at 9 a.m. for worship.

Mt. Zion Bible Study held in the Tom and Beverly Pelkey home each Tuesday at 7 p.m. had nine in attendance.

The Mt. Zion area really got frosted Saturday night, got all the flowers that had made it through the frost earlier in the week.

Please except my apologies for not spelling tatting right as in needle tatting that was done at the Rockville Methodist Church Quilt Show.

Weekend visitor in Howard and Dixie Peterson home was Kent, Mark, Mitchel, Jodi and Tucker Crawford. Tucker went youth deer hunting; but didn’t  get one.

Jordan Snider got her youth deer here opening day. Jordan is Dane Schellman granddaughter Jeanine and Phillip Snider daughter of Clinton.

Tom and Beverly Pelkey made a return trip to Warrensburg as Tom’s eye wasn’t doing well, they got some medicine and the eye is doing fine now.

We wish Gary Kenny a speedy recovery from his recent knee surgery.

The Davis boys hay bale Halloween decoration was a skeleton this year.

The neighbors with pecan trees are picking up pecans; most of the soy beans are harvested.

Think the buzzers have left as two adult eagles were eating venison along B Hwy.

Over at the Robin Siegismund farm, Mabel’s dog has been bringing Belle some neat presents, the problem is Robin doesn’t think they are neat and Belle was doing a lot less treasurer hunting, of course Speck is still a pup. The little chickens are all feather ready for winter.

Mark your calendar for the VFW Auxiliary Post 11242 Turkey dinner Nov. 11, at the Park Building in Appleton City 4-7 p.m.

John and Julia Snethen spent a quite week at home with John running his bus route; on Saturday they visited Julia’s brother, Junior Hood, and sisters, Janet Young and Jane Sanders. Jane is in Westwood nursing home, all of Clinton. Ron Thompson visited his mother and stepfather, Julia and John, on Friday night to help celebrate their 26th wedding anniversary.
