The Calico Clippers quilters will hold a quilt show – the Colors of Stockton – on Friday, April 28, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, April 29, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Zumwalt Expo Center in Stockton. The event features gorgeous quilts, vendors, raffles, door prizes and good hot food.

The Cedar County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will have their 2017 Spring Salad Luncheon and Baked Goods Auction on Friday, April 28, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the El Dorado Springs Christian School Gym, 1600 S. On Friday, April 21, the Mo-Kan Square Dancers will have a dance with Rod Krehbiel (from Kansas) calling. This will be held from 7:30 to 10 p.m. in the Home Ec Building at the Vernon County Fairgrounds in Nevada. Admission is $5 for adult dancers and $3 for youth dancers,  Area square dancers are invited.

The Chamber of Commerce and Ministerial Association are hosting the annual National Day of Prayer event May 4  in El Dorado Springs. The annual meeting for Pleasant Springs Cemetery was held on April 11, 2017. The decision was made to rehire Mike Guffey for mowing. Several have commented on how nice the cemetery looks.
