We were fortunate to see a couple of bills move forward in the Missouri Senate this week. My Senate Bill 736 has received first-round approval. This legislation increases the cap on MO Bucks, the state’s linked deposit program. MO Bucks allows financial institutions to provide lower rate loans that would not otherwise be available to small businesses and agriculture producers.

Senate Bill 754 has been given preliminary Missouri Senate approval. This proposal enhances public safety and addresses crime prevention.  Both of these bills still need another “yes” vote to move to the Missouri House of Representatives for similar consideration.

This week’s visitors to the Capitol: Senator Crawford’s Job Shadow for the day – Maleah Hogan-Northeast Vernon County High School and Senator Sandy Crawford.

I am honored to serve as your senator in the Missouri Senate. If, at any time, you have questions, concerns or ideas regarding state government, please feel free to contact me at 573-751-8793 or Sandy.Crawford@senate.mo.gov.
