3 Nights of Carnival Wrist Bands

The Picnic Committee and Fun Time Shows, Inc will offer three nights of carnival wrist bands for the 139th Annual El Dorado Springs Picnic.

Wrist band tickets for each night may be purchased for $23.00 in advance from city hall during regular business hours (8am-4:30pm) beginning Monday, July 13, until Thursday, July 16. Cash only will be accepted.  Wristband tickets may also be purchased at the carnival ticket booths for $25 per night.  Single tickets are also available at the ticket booths to be purchased.

Frogs and turtles

There will be no turtle races or frog jumping contest at the 2020 Picnic.

Sams’ Scavenger Scrimmage

New for the 2020 Scavenger hunt, it will be a walking event. You will not be permitted to use a vehicle. The clues will be within 3-5 blocks North-South and 2-3 blocks East-West of the downtown area. Each team participating in Sam’s Scavenger Scrimmage will be required to provide their own digital camera or cell phone to record the pictures that will be the answer to the clues provided by the committee.  Only one device will be allowed per team.

Teams must pre-register by noon on Friday, July 18.  Committee members accepting registrations are Debbie Floyd, 417-876-2864, Judi Baldwin, 417-876-2691 and Tammy Melton, 417-296-3296. Voice mail is available to leave your information: Team name, names of each team member, contact phone number.

Teams will consist of 3-5 members with each member being 18 years or older.  Each team will receive one copy of the clues.  All team members must stay together.  One team member must be the designated photographer.  All other team members must be in the pictures and the pictures must also include:  the numbered card that corresponds to the clue and the red X posted at each correct site.

The scavenger hunt will last one hour.  The winning team will be the team which collects the greatest number of correct photographs.  Ties will be broken by the earliest check-in time with the most clues.
