The Cedar County 4-H Recognition was held Sunday, Oct. 23, at the Land O Lakes Fairgrounds.

The event was emceed by 4-H County Council President Avery Schiereck and Secretary Macy Stauffer.

First year volunteers receiving the Green Angels Award were: Shawn Boutinghouse, Candi Chadd, Patrick Davis, Allena Jackson, Jen Rains, Suzanne Ridgway, Sherry Shouse, Rachel Stauffer, Kurt Strauch, Wendy Sumner, and Kristi Toliver. Volunteer awards for 5 years of service went to Misti Hunter and Ruth Long. Volunteer awards for 10 years of service went to Michael Goetz and Jeff Stacy. The Outstanding Leader awards went to Stephanie Lame and Dana Smith. This year’s Friend of 4-H Award was awarded to Jay Martin and the 4-H Booster award was awarded to Aaron and Stacy Wosoba, Backwoods Sportsman. The Community Service award went to the New Kids on the Block 4-H Club.
