Boy Scout Derby Car awards

Troop 230 held its pine wood derby car race on Saturday, Feb. 4, at the youth center in El Dorado Springs. The boys have put in weeks of work on their cars with the help of parents and their leaders. All the hard work payed off for these cub scouts, Blake Loane 1st place, Blake Williams 2nd place and 3rd place went to Bradly Norman. In the boy scout division 1st place went to Kadin Sanderstorm, Elliot Carpenter 2nd place, and Noah Williams took 3rd.

On Feb. 18, Blake Loane traveled to Pittsburgh, KS, and raced his car in the MoKan district pine wood derby and took 1st place and set a track record of 2.59 seconds. He brought home a trophy and memories to last a life time.
