Cedar County Cattlemen meet

The Cedar County Cattlemen met on Oct. 4 at the Land O’ Lakes Youth Fairgrounds in El Dorado Springs.

The evening started with a presentation by the Missouri Beef Industry Council on the Mo’ Beef for More Kids school lunch initiative.  The sponsor and speaker for the evening was Mike Richner, Premier (Missouri) Livestock Supplements and Mike Ferguson, Chr Hansen. They spoke about the value of feeding cooked mineral tubs and probiotics to livestock and how these supplements improve herd health and performance.

Miranda Lowrey presided over the business portion of the meeting. She announced the winners of the whole beef raffle who was Jeff Stacy and Randy Cooper. Each received a 1⁄2 beef.  We would like to say a big ‘thank you’ to Tom Bryant for donating the steer.
