The Cedar County Youth Fair is in full swing this week. It will conclude with the auction Saturday evening. Below is the Youth Fair schedule.

Program of events

Thursday, June 18

8:30 a.m. – Horsemanship at Fairgrounds

1-4 p.m. – Non-Livestock entries check-in begins. Attach entry tags and complete summary sheet.

5 p.m. – Non-Livestock entries closed for judging. Rabbit and poultry check-in begins.

6 p.m. – Rabbit show begins. Poultry show will begin after rabbit show. These animal species will dismiss after shows end.

Friday, June 19

7:30-8:30 a.m. – Breeding livestock check-in. Breeding livestock classes judged in the following order, (swine, sheep, dairy goats, meat goats, dairy and beef). Breeding livestock will dismiss after shows end.

4:30-6:30 p.m. – Market livestock (swine, sheep, meat goats and beef) check-in and weigh-in. Families will have designated time slots to weight-in to comply with social distancing and organization.

7:30 p.m. – Exhibitor meal

Saturday, June 20

8 a.m. – Market livestock classes judged in the following order: swine, sheep, meat goats and beet. Showmanship will follow each species market class.

1 p.m. – Dummy roping

4 p.m. – Checkout for non-livestock exhibits. Premiums will be paid at checkout.

5 p.m. – All non-livestock projects must be removed from area.

5:30 p.m. – Livestock auction buyer’s social

5:45 p.m. – Awards and trophies presented.

6 p.m. – Livestock auction begins. Market livestock animals will be released at the end of the sale.
