Coale-Burrus-Conner-James reunion

On Sunday, Sept 11, 2016, the Coale-Burrus-Conner-James Reunion was held at the Lion’s Club in El Dorado Springs with 57 in attendance.

Kenny Hubbard asked the blessing before a basket dinner.

Following the meal and visiting, Brent Livengood acted as emcee. The first order of business was the prizes for:

• the youngest in attendance: Landon Hubbard (3 1⁄2 months old), son of Chris and Rachel Hubbard

• the oldest in attendance: Bob Coale (82 years old)

• traveled the furthest: Chris and Rachel Hubbard (170 miles)

• the longest married in attendance: Ronald and Joann Hubbard (61 years).

Names were then drawn for door prizes. Nearly everyone went home with a gift from the reunion. The members of next year’s committee were chosen: Kurt and Laura Fischer will join Rose Micklich and Sonya Highley for 2017.

Announcements of the previous year included: the births of Evelyn Hubbard (Sept. 13, 2015) to Ryan and Valerie Hubbard, Elizabeth Eason (Feb. 15, 2016) to Dustin and Kristen Eason and Landon Hubbard (May 20, 2016) to Chris and Rachel Hubbard. A moment of silence was given to those who passed away: Jeanne Coale (Nov. 4, 2015) wife of Bob Coale (married 60 years).

Entertainment included “Supper Time” dedicated to Jeanne Coale performed by Ronald Hubbard (guitar), Cindy Webb and Kenny Hubbard; “I’ll Fly Away” performed by Ronald Hubbard (guitar), Rylan Eason (banjo) and Faira Fischer; instrumental bluegrass performed by Ronald Hubbard (guitar) and Rylan Eason (banjo).

Those in attendance were: Sonya and Kanyon Highley – Harwood; Rose Micklich; from Nevada – Brent Livengood, Charlene Winfiel, Rilen Livengood and Axtin Ensor; from El Dorado Springs – Emily Livengood and Chris Jeffery; Rick and Colleen Coale; Dustin, Kristen, Rylan, Ellie, Nathan and Elizabeth Eason; Chelsey Rice and Tristan Broyles; Virginia Beydler; Kenny and Debbie Hubbard; Ryan, Valerie, Isaac, Grace, Kate, and Evelyn Hubbard; Bob Coale recently of Mt. The next reunion will be held Sunday, Sept. 10, 2017 at the Lion’s Club.
